The Whisker app is compatible with Apple mobile devices with iOS 13.0 or later and Android mobile devices 8.0 or later. Both the Apple and Android apps are available to download.
Litter-Robot 4 allows you to monitor and control the litter box from your phone, view weekly and monthly litter box activity to identify patterns and irregularities, and receive notifications when the waste drawer is full. Litter-Robot 4 also features real-time tracking of litter levels and recorded cat weight after every use.
Our robots require a 2.4 GHz WiFi signal. (5 GHz band not supported.) Litter-Robot 4 supports either IPv4 or IPv6 addressing.
Yes. You can onboard multiple WiFi-enabled Litter-Robot units to the same app.
Yes. If others in your household want to use the app, they can simply download the app to their device and log in with the same account.
Download the Whisker app and make sure your mobile device’s bluetooth is enabled. Litter-Robot 4 ships with the unit in onboarding mode (WiFi light blinking yellow). If your unit is not in onboarding mode, press and hold the Connect button for 3 seconds or until the onboarding light blinks yellow. Follow the prompts in the app and scan the QR code on the back of the unit as directed. Once Litter-Robot is successfully connected to WiFi, the onboarding light on the control panel light bar will display a solid blue light.

You can onboard to the Whisker app via your device’s bluetooth. Your device’s bluetooth is used to connect the Litter-Robot to your home WiFi network. To do so, make sure your device’s bluetooth is enabled on your mobile device. Put the Litter-Robot into onboarding mode, and approve the prompt to use Location Services. (This prompt may not appear, depending on your mobile device.) Accept the prompt to pair your device with the Litter-Robot. (Prompt may vary by manufacturer.) Upon pairing, the app will begin the onboarding process. If the onboarding fails, proceed with traditional WiFi onboarding.

Yes. The Litter-Robot 4 Ramp arrives with two installation hinges. View the installation guide to see which hinge you’ll need to use if you have a fence installed on your unit.
Which hinge you use depends on if your Litter-Robot 4 has a fence. The ramp hinge is used if you do not have a fence, while the ramp fence hinge is used if you do have a fence. View the installation guide for more information.
The Litter-Robot 4 footprint measures 56 cm wide x 96.5 cm deep with the ramp installed. Without the ramp, it is 56 cm wide x 68.6 cm deep.
